About the client

Responsibilities

  1. Data Architecture Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy on the Azure platform, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  2. Designing Data Solutions: Design end-to-end data solutions on Azure, considering scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness. This includes data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and visualization components.
  3. Implementing Best Practices: Implement and enforce best practices for data management, governance, and security on Azure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  4. Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize databases on Azure, selecting appropriate data storage technologies (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB) and optimizing data models for efficient query performance.
  5. Data Integration and ETL Processes: Develop and maintain data integration and ETL processes on Azure, ensuring seamless data flow between disparate systems and optimizing data movement for performance and reliability.
  6. Data Warehousing and Analytics: Architect and implement data warehousing solutions on Azure (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics), enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities.
  7. Big Data and Advanced Analytics: Design and implement big data and advanced analytics solutions on Azure (e.g., Azure Databricks, HDInsight), leveraging technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and machine learning for insights generation.
  8. Cloud Infrastructure Optimization: Collaborate with cloud architects and infrastructure teams to optimize Azure infrastructure resources for data workloads, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  9. Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor the performance of data solutions on Azure, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, optimizing query performance, and ensuring high availability and reliability.

Requirements

  • Should have extensively worked on Azure Hub, Azure Device SDK, Azure Device provisioning services, Azure Device twins, Azure Functions, data bricks, Cosmos DB, Azure Stream analytics.
  • Knowledgeable in tools used to identify and manage structured and unstructured data.
  • Must have BI, EDW, along with Data Strategy, Architecture and Governance.
  • Defined and implemented information lifecycle management practices.
  • Strong background and working knowledge in end-to-end data management principles.
  • Strong background in developing and utilizing tools that prepare, extract and manipulate data to create connected datasets (data warehousing) that can be utilized for analytics purposes.
  • Strong communicator at the technical levels.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of knowledge of English.

As a plus

  • Experience in architecting and building Azure IoT platforms/apps with good exposure to containerization and server-less architecture.
